Why join and how to become a member

FBLA helps students build real-world business skills, connect with leaders and chapters across the region, and access competitions, scholarships, and service opportunities.

  • 01Build entrepreneurship skills through business workshops and programs.
  • 02Network with industry leaders and local chapters at conferences.
  • 03Explore potential careers and develop public speaking skills.
  • 04Engage in educational programming and community service.
  • 05Access scholarship opportunities.
  • 06Compete in objective, presentational, and performance events.

Requirements

  • 01Be currently enrolled in a qualifying business or business-related course that meets FBLA requirements.
  • 02Submit a yearly $20.00 membership fee with your application — covers national, state, and school chapter fees.
  • 03Serve on one chapter committee for the year; every member must be actively involved.
  • 04Attend general meetings on Wednesdays from 3–4 PM, participate in committee breakouts, and engage with chapter events and communication to gain points and earn leadership.
